Historical “Khari Bulbul” Festival

Festival “Khari Bulbul” returned to Shusha after 30 years. The festival was opened and organized by Ilham Aliyev on May 12, 2021. The music festival named after the flower, it has a unique appearance which makes it look like a nightingale or bulbul in Azerbaijani. Khari Bulbul is the symbol of Shusha. Musical groups of various people living in Azerbaijan perform folk songs and classical music at the festival. Specially for the festival, paintings dedicated to the sights of the city of Shusha and the liberation of Karabakh

The works of 32 artists from 13 countries of the world, including Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Turkey, Iraq, Estonia, Latvia, Jordan, Israel, Morocco, the Netherlands, Romania, Ukraine and Greece, were brought to Shusha especially for the festival.

Holding such an art festival in Karabakh, one of our ancient regions known for its beautiful and rich natural resources, also serves to enrich intercultural dialogue.
