Located in the southern part of the country on the plains of Central Anatolia. Konya is an ancient city with Seljuk Era architecture, old mosques and madrassa. Known as the place of life of one of the founders of Sufism, Rumi or Mevlana, who is buried here.

Konya is one of the more religiously city centres in Türkiye and city of whirling dervish.

Konya is unique and mysterious. Everywhere in this city you meet sculptures of dancing dervishes: on the roofs and in the shop windows of shopping centers and restaurants in the middle of the streets and squares. But to understand the origins of the doctrine of endless whirling, you should visit the Mevlana Mosque Museum. Entrance to the museum is free, but limited from 9-00 to 18:30 local time. Behind the gate you find yourself in the courtyard of the Mosque Museum, where according to Muslim custom, there is a fountain for ablution, as in front of the entrance to a Mosque.
